Food is changing. The internet has created a lot of differences in the way that people eat. You can use an app to find places to eat in the city you are in based on type of food and price. If you don't like their suggestion, shake the phone and it will pick somewhere else. Not many years ago, the idea of this would have been laughed at.
Things I will be looking at for my essay include restaurant review sites, applications like the one discussed above and how you can now order your food online. Restaurant reviews have been around for a while. Not necessarily online, but in writing. But times are changing.
I think that it is really interesting the way that food is changing. The idea of ordering food online is strange to me. I usually just call and order. Why do I need to get online? And if I can get online from my phone to order, why not just call, like you're supposed to use the phone for anyway?
As far as buying groceries online and having them delivered, I definitely have to look into this more in order to form an opinion and also learn about it. Some days I wish there were drive thru grocery stores. There are drive thru restaurants, take out orders; why can't I call and say "hey I need a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk," and drive up to a window to pick it up? Is that lazy? Is that out of the question as something that is to come? Is that an American standard, that we should have all these things brought to us, rather than walking into a grocery store or a restaurant and picking stuff up ourselves? A few thoughts to ponder as I figure out my project.
As for the annotated bib, I'm getting there ok?!
So far, I like my project mainly because I got to pick what I am doing. I like having a choice rather than being assigned something because I am more likely to enjoy putting the time into the work if I like the topic. I think problems I am having right now are finding enough sources of information about my project. I want to make sure I have enough research about the topic, not just websites that offer online ordering of food, both restaurants and grocery stores, as well as delivery places I have found.

1,2,3 Post
For my blog, the title of my project, at least in my trailer, is Reviews by Rachel. I'm not really sure how good of a title this is, but it's pretty straightforward. I used this because it basically describes what I will be doing--reviewing restaurants in Morgantown.
The question I was using as my guide in my project is where can students who are unfamiliar with Morgantown go to eat and get the best deals, service, and food available. There are a lot of places out there and though some of the restaurants I am using are not just limited to Morgantown, they are places that students may not think to go, or may not realize have specials to help students afford their food. I am using the categories of wings, pizza, steak, and pasta because these are a few of my favorite things. There are a lot of options available for where to get these types of food. Although steak and pasta may be a bit more expensive and not an everyday meal, there are places that students can go for a nice night out with friends or a significant other, or with parents when they come into town. I always save a night out for steak for when my dad is visiting. He loves steak and always picks up the check. Talk about a good deal. See, you don't even need a coupon, just a parent!
As far as what Lessig would say about my project, I don't have a clue. I like to think that he'd say if you like it, do it, and don't worry about if other people like it or not.
